I have a 2000 Maxima SE Automatic. It has 35,000 Miles on it. Every time I hit the brakes I can feel a shake on the steering wheel. Example: I hit the accelerator to 5 mph then as I hit the brakes to stop I then feel a pulsation on the steering wheel. It doesn't happen all the time. It's like every other try. Is there a TSB for this? Has anyone experience this as well? I know it's not the rotors. This has always been like this, but now it's beginning to be a pain. Any suggestions?

might be the rotors....

i haven't had this problem so i dont know what is wrong, but i think i saw someone on this board that had the same problem, and i think its warped rotors. try to search for rotors, or warped rotors and see if you find a thread similar to yours.

Your symptoms describe warped rotors to a T. You may want to re-evaluate that. I say, take it in and let the dealer deal with it before your warranty expires.

They Service Manager at the Denville Nissan Service shop is a SOB. He says that he can't repair anything because I am near 36,000 miles. I guess I will have the rotors cut today. And if it continues I will call Nissan Headquarters and let them deal with Denville Nissan. Thanks for your reply.

That's rediculous...your warranty covers you till 36 months 36,000 miles. If the service manager doesn't want to fix it tell him to go work at Nissan's warranty department, so he can make up his own rules. Ask him when nissan called him for his opinion on their warranty policy!!! Take it in there now before you get even closer to miles and leave the thing. If it were me, I'd get a friend to follow me and pick me up while I left my car there for them to fix it. If he says no, the thing would sit there while I got ahold of nissan's complaint dept! They can take the car back of fix it whatever they want. Sorry for rambling, that s*** just aggrivates me!

If people don't want to do their jobs they need to just quit.

Wow.. so we now only have coverage from 0 - "near 36,000 miles" hrrmm... I don't like that.

I'd definately talk to the GM or try another dealer. If all else fails contact Nissan NA and do it before you actually hit 36,000.
