Cleand MAF yesterday!
And I did notice an improvement. Idle is alittle smoother and the acceleration hesitation has virtually went away. I used some electric cleaner from radio shack and a couple of Q-tips. It was Dirty. Q-tips were coverd with a black somthing. I let it dry before reinstalling. No Check engine light or anything! So if you are thinking about it and you have some of the symptoms listed above. Just becareful and Clean the MAF. May save you alot of money. Oh also I bought some tamper proof torque bits from pepboys to remove the screws holding the MAF.

It's good that you used en electrical contact cleaner. Otherwise, it probably would have damaged the sensor/element...which would really suck.
