get a 2k1 maf and the car will run normal although, You WILL have the SES light on. NO Worries. I drove with one for 3 weeks.

Call up DAVEB, his number is in the FAQ. Get just the sensor which is around $100.

EDIT: Can you delete the other 2 posts.

If you are still under the warrenty, then put the stock intake back on, and then take it to the dealer that does not know you have a intake. Or buy one from DavB. That is what i did. I had a stillen k&n pop charge. Switch it Wapon R with foam filter. No problems yet. Been 3 months.

[sarcasm]

I've Heard That Capitalizing Every Word In Every Sentence For No Apparent Reason Not Only Shows Poor Writing Skills But May Also Lead To MAF Failure So You Might Want To Try Eliminating That And See What Happens.

Wow, you got me good there. But why didn't you post a new thread for this reply like you did with everything else?

My whole first post was one sentence retard. Read it slow, sound all the words out, and I'm sure it will all make sense to you eventually. :

OK I've had my fun. I was merely trying to point out that capitalizing every word you type is completely unnecessary and annoying to the people you are asking for help. You had to make it personal. I'm done replying, enjoy your MAF failure.

The car will go above 50 MPH with a blown MAF. However, it will not go above 2400 RPMs. In the auto, that's about 62.5 MPH. In the manual, it's about 65.5 MPH.

god you people are so immature.

Everyone blows mafs...stock or not.

unplug it, to drive, it wont go over 2500 rpms. CEL will come on.

Return to stock if you wanna go to a dealer.

Call DaveB if you want to buy a replacemnt and swap it in yourself. (2 screws 1 plug)

If you want to be totally safe use a 2k 2k1 MAF. Will also throw a CEL but its fine. Ive used one for more than 7 months. 2k 2k1 will swap in as well.

I even wrote a thread on how to get rid of the SES/CEL/MIL light when using the 2000-2001 MAF in a 2002-2003:

The spare MAF I bought for my 2k (I keep it in the trunk, just in case) was just over $100 at a Nissan dealer. I price-searched dealers around here and the price was between $100 and $125 at various ones.

NYC - What is "tremp?"

Glen - Don't take it so personally, what BiggD said....he is just pointing out that it is somewhat annoying to read things when every word is capitalized...remember, if nobody reads your post, they can't answer your question; so just humor us and write normally.

I think it was the grammar in the sentence that threw me off as much as the spelling!

if i'm not mistaken, glen is the member that explained this already tons of times. his form of writing is because of his job, so he's used to it and therefore does it w/out realizing....which would make sense why he gets irritated when someone gives him a snappy comeback for doing it.

as they all said, but i'll recap, just call up daveb and order an MAF sensor. it will be under 100 shipped and you avoid the whole dealer thing. i've been fairly lucky to not have a blown maf (knock on wood)

just out of curiosity (really, I am curious) - what kind of job would require you to write all words beginning with a capital letter (computer programmer, stenographer, ????)
