How much should I be getting on a trade-in?

I am thinking about trading in my 2001 SE black on black w/ 46K miles. ow much does everyone think I should be getting? Kelly Blue Book says $12,500. I am not stupid, I know that KBB is usually a "wish list" and that the dealer needs to leave room to make a profit, but what should I be getting.

PS, I am getting a 4 door all wheel drive G35! (staying in the family)

Joe

Did you check Edmunds (www.edmunds.com)? I've found their used car figures to be more accurate than Kelly's. Pay attention to the "trade-in" figure if you'll be trading in rather than selling it yourself.

any 5th gen maxima with low miles deserve a better sticker price of 12500. People on the Org would pay much more, but not that much more. =)

I was offered $17k on my 2k2 SE Auto two weeks ago when I wanted to trade it for a 2k4 FX35. Now, I've got every option available on an auto (Nav, Bose, leather, Meridian, moonroof, etc) and thought that was low compared to what I'm seeing on the web. I took it to the local Saab, VW, Lexus and Volvo dealerships. The result was the same.

if i wanted to get a 2k3 maxima SE loaded, i would spend 18 with 0% Financing . As long as miles are low.
