Suspension, Interior Looks, Nicer Wheels, Badge colors, & tail lights mainly. Engine and Brakes are all the same.

GLE = softer ride and chrome color door handles ( SE has body color handles). Then off to options buffet.

Ya the GLE just comes with more in stock form, like the leather and various other options.

you canget everything you want on the SE that the GLE offers

se has a firmer suspension and manual gearbox option

if you are talking about 2000/2001 Maximas...gle's and SE's have different taillights

SE's have a stock spoiler and gle's do not

damn..everyone forgot this
if you buy a GLE...they come standard with Automatic
but if you get a SE you have the option of getting a stick
I like my SE alot...fully loaded with heated seats...its basiclly the same as the GLE and the tail lights are better
IMO

i like the old man wood grain and bling bling chrome handles.

thing is, if you load up an SE (assuming the options you wanted were available at the time of purchase, i know nissan varried them) you essentially turn it into a GLE making the whole idea of sports edition an oxymoron.

i disagree
its still an SE (sporty suspension and manual tranny)
the loading up dosent change that
thats what i wanted, a loaded SE 5 speed but couldnt find one so i just got the GLE for all the options

On the 2000, the SE was the only trim level to offer 17" wheels. Both the GXE and GLE only came with 16s. Oh, and the SE fully loaded came out to even more expensive than the GLE because of the extras it had.

The GLE's have better looking stock rims. The GXE's have 5 spoke, the SE's have 6 spoke and the GLE's have the most spoke's 7 spoke's. Look at upscale cars, the best looking ones have 7 spokes. That's why I got the GLE. I also like a softer suspension.
