Had the idea yesterday that some colors, white in particular, would look kinda slick if all of the chrome on the 02-03 GLE's was that same dark polished metal, gunmetal I think, that you see on some wheels. An '02-'03, white with those wheels and the doorhandles, front grill, etc....done in gunmetal would be pretty nice. Anybody with a few spare minutes to photoshop an example? I'm curious to see if looks good in practice as it does in my head.

I think it would look good, except for the part about the door handles. I think all gunmetal trim would look best w/body-colored door handles

I think replacing all the chrome would be the only way to go. For uniformity. The chrome trim around the windows would be a challenge but if it could be done, I'm betting that it would look pretty nice.
