Can anyone educate me or point me in the right direction re: the vb mod for my max? Is it a kit I need to buy and where can I get one? Thanks

go to my homepage for a lil info on the drop resistor mod. It works, but is not really practical for daily driving. I'd do the VB mod if you want a firmer shift. Drop resistor is a good cheap way around it, but I'd prefer to do the vb mod

the drop resistor mod would be fine if it is wired to a switch like some people do that way you just flip the switch when you want to run and have the full line pressure, make sure to get tranny cooler also. i just know from experience that unless you plan on taking your car somewhere to get the vb removed it can be a pain to take off and making sure you get the bolts right and the solenoids, and the spring, etc. etc. to me, the drop resistor is just better, cheaper, thats my $.02

I have my drop resistor mod wired so that when I floor it, the pedal pushes down on a switch and activates it. That way I dont have to worry about touching a switch.
