Do you happen to know the recommended lenght of bump stop that needs to be cut?

I cut mine 1/3 off the length of the bumpstop and I've never bottomed out.

 

this is how much mine's cut.

 

where do I cut? orange part, the top? I have ask this ques many times, but no ans.

I did not trim mine at all... no prolems here

 

Did you install springs yourself or had someone else do it for you?

 

I had a friend helping me out, it took us 4-5 hours. It’s not hard to do; you just need the spring compressor (AutoZone or Advanced Autoparts loan them out)

BTW: do not install springs with oem shocks !!!

 

Yes, the orange part is the bumpstop.

 

So does trimming bumpstops only apply to those who keep their OEM struts?

 

yup....some people didnt trim it got their car bottoms out.

 

Mine were not trimmed. Im runnin eibach on tok blues btw and I havent had any problems at all.

Hold up - maxi-overdose just said trimming bump stops only applies to people running stock struts. Has anyone with aftermarket struts cut their bump stops?

 

yeah the roads are terrible where I live. I have hit some pretty big bumps and holes and havent had any problems. My buddy who is also running the eibach/tok combo didnt trim his and he hasnt had any problems either, and his car is a daily driver whereas mine is not.

Where is your dustboot? And where did you get the orange bump stop? The OEM dust boot and bump stop are one black unit, correct?

 

How does the ride compare with Eibachs and aftermarket struts to stock or any other spring/strut combos?
