S-Tech vs. H-Tech...Convince me to choose!!

I'm trying to decide with why to go. Let me say that I love the S-Tech drop but I'm worried about all the other negatives i.e. fitting on a rack @ the dealer, scraping on bumps etc... I am going to put Tok Illuminas on with 18's. Give me your opinion.

I bought the Illuminas and H-Tech combo - haven't installed yet, but purchased the H-Techs because of the fact that I live on a hill, my driveway is a steep slant, and I was worried about banging the front of the car every time I pulled up into the driveway or drove around my hill. The listed drop is 1.6"/1.0", but I'm hoping that settles to be a little lower when all is said and done. I have not found many 5th gen pics with the H.Tech's installed so I made my decision sight unseen. Hoping the 19" wheels will draw attention away from any remaining wheel gap.

I just bought the h-techs a few weeks ago and I love them, nice drop, that is low but not too low.... with the s-tech i was afriad that the car would be so low that the wheel well would engulf the wheel and tire of the car and look slammed, which is not what I personally like.

Since you're doing 18"s I'd do the H-techs. Low enough IMHO. Here's some shots of Sheki's 18's with H-tech in case you haven't seen:

what do you guys think about going with H-techs on the front and H&R in the rear? It looks like the H-techs will drop the car in the front more while the H&R will drop the car in the rear more making it more of an even drop. the H&R dont drop enough on the front and H-tech dont drop enough in the rear. not even going to think about S-tech, those are too low for me. Help me please because i am going to be installing these next weekend. thanks

If an even drop, releatively low drop (1.7F 1.5R), and smooth ride is what you're looking for, you might consider Progress. It's the most even drop offered IMHO.

even progress is a little lower than i really want to go. I wont go anything lower than the H-tech but I want the even drop as well! Just being too picky i know but i dont want to be second guessing myself after the install.

I'm seriously leaning toward the H-Techs and some Illuminas. I took a look at my driveway last night and my car can't pass the bottom if I drop it 2 inches.

do you like apples or oranges?

j/k...just depends on what type of ride quality you want, and what kind of look you want. Unless you have a kit, you won't scrape even with S. Techs. However, they'll be a rougher ride. But then again H. Techs look like your car isn't even lowered.

I think more people with H.Tech's need to post pics ....or is it just that no one has them? Although I haven't installed mine yet, I find it somewhat tough to believe that they don't make it look like your car's dropped at all - but we need more pics!
