I recently purchased a 2003 SE 6-speed and was wondering how much oil does the engine hold with filter change? The car did not come with an owners manual. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

i would say that's not a problem. given that during the oil cycle, you burn some oil. some may burn, others won't, but 1/8 in my eyes is nothing big at ALL. i'm due to changing my oil (hittin 4k since the last) and was planning on poppin 5qts.

 

My 2002 owners manual say 4 1/4 qt With filter change, 3 7/8 without.

 

Ok , Now I am confused is it 4 7/8 or 4 1/4 quarts. I am using Mobil 1 5 w30 is that the right oil. Thanks for any help.

 

OOF. you got me...dunno why i read the wrong line. FSM says what you just said and then it say MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL is 4 7/8. i stand corrected.....4-1/4.

 

its 4-1/4 according to the manual (changing the filter)
