It was fun! I pulled up to the light at about 7am and i notice a old blue Maxima next to me. I dont know if it was 2nd or 1st gen but it was the boxy kind that resembles and old Sentra....

So as we both pull away from the light i notice him staying next to my side then he downshifts and shoots forward. So i floor it catch up and sit next to him for a sec then soon as i saw him shift i floored it and took off. I let him catch up and when he did i floored it and took off for the last time hitting about 70mph. I then switched lanes cuz i had to turn up ahead. He drove by while i was in the left turn lane and looks over and smiles and shakes his head. IT was so fun to play with another Maxima. It was a pretty quick one too. When he floored it and down shifted it took off pretty well..

p.s. what are the differences between 1st and 2nd gen??

Adam

1st gen=RWD L26 2.6 Z engine->

2-gen. 1st FWD maxima. VG30 V6. About 150hp or so.

Much easier to mod the 1st gens. Basicly a 4 door Z. Independent rear end, you can use Z brakes, LSD rear ends, any L-series straight 6 including the L28 turbo engine.

Hell, a Skyline engine would probably fit too.
