I don't know whether I have a cali or fed spec car, and I am looking into buying a Y-pipe (Cattman). I have heard that it does not matter which Y-pipe to get, is this true? Meaning, I can have a cali spec car with a fed spec Y-pipe with no problems.

Also, will a 2000-2001 Y-pipe fit my 2003 Max?

As far as I know, you don't want a cali spec Y on a fed spec Maxima or vice-versa (differrent number of oxygen sensors). The 02-03 Y is different from the 00-01 Y. You need to order a Y specifically for 02-03. There is some good info in the faq section of this forum
