I was wondering if any one with an Injen intake has put a filter shield on thier intake to help shield the filter from excess dirt? I was thinking about buying one. Does anyone think it is worth it? I purchased the new K&N X-treme filter (RX 4990) with the high flow top. K&N states that it gives better air flow through the intake.

 

the shield does a good job of separating the hot air from the radiator from the intake... i took mine off only because it was easier to dismantle without the shield. i've got mine for sale... $20 plus shipping

It has a nice sound, the intake isnt bad. Yea I noticed a loss in power at the low end. Couldnt tell if i gained power on the upper end though, having never dyno'd my car before.

 

is it a lot of power loss?? u think its worth $225?
