probably the heat shield. this is a pretty common problem. I just bent mine so it wouldnt vibrate like that.

you have to use about 6-7 washers on the bolts to bring the y-pipe down so it doesnt vibrate or bang against the cross member.

are u talking bout the heat shield that is attached to the precat or the one that is right on top of the y pipe?

No, he is talking about the cross member / brace that is below where the main cat and cat back are bolted together. Drop the brace and add some washers or just remove it, and the noise and vibration will go away. This is a very common problem with the Warpspeed pipe.

so that should be the only problem? cause all the bolts are tight so i'm pretty sure there is no exaust leak

get under the car, shake the **** outta yer exhaust and keep an eye out for where it might bang into the heatshield. Or have a buddy turn the car on while your underneat, and rev it up. Ha ha ha Just KIDDING

OK guys.. i took out the brace and everything is fine now.. no more ratteling
question.. is the brace necessary for anything... is it anything crucial... for handeling or safety...

thanks for the help guys..

You have 2 choices to get rid of the problem. Put 6-7 washers and extend the brace down or do what most of us did and take the brace off. It will totally solve your problem.

Nissan wouldn't spend the extra $$ to put the brace there if it did nothing.
I would put the washers in place and drop it ~ 1/2 inch. I have 7 washers on mine and it did the trick.
