well, after getting the new import tuner mag, i decided to get off my lazy a$$ and call hks...guy put me on hold for awhile and then came back and said it should be avaliable by the end of march or beginning of april and it will cost $495...it is only a muffler (like stillens, just a rear section)...there is no pipe or anything...if this hks muffler can increase our hp by over 5 wheel hp then how much will we gain by using a free flowing muffler? anyone dyno yet?

dang...$495 for a rear section muffler...i think the HKS system the turbo magazine tested was a full cat-back. i don't think a rear section muffler alone will yield that much performance..

No, it's only the rear section. Stillen had that car for a while at their facility. ONLY Rear section just like Stillen's. So 5hp to the wheel???makes me wonder also.

anyone have any dyno results of the stillen rear section...so far i have not heard ANYTHING good about it (other than it's looks)...apparently it isn't very loud and to me, it seems very expensive ($550 for a muffler)...the hks is also very expensive, but one mag said 7 or 8 hp to the wheels w/ it and import tuner said 5 wheel hp...is stillens the same? as i asked before, how are freeflowing mufflers (flowmaster, apexi n1 etc.) doing as far as power gains? so far the hks seems like the leader in that category

its a rear section...there is piping...
it just doesnt include the b-pipe...
it is a muffler + pipe that goes from the muffler, over the suspension and then connects to the B-pipe...
it is a COMPLETE RIPOFF for $500!!!
you can get a custom catback exhaust for half that price...
just go pick out the muffler you want then have a place like Meineke or a specialized performance exhaust place (like MUFFLEX in Trenton, NJ) bend up some piping for ya...
My reccomendations for mufflers:

If you dont mind being loud go with:
APEX'i
Borla
Flowmaster
CherryBomb Vortex<~~~(best flow)

DynoMax flows very well to & is quieter than the above.
Those ricey Universal Mufflers are all loud too.
