New pics of DDE's and car...
ok. but i'm right about the housing, correct? i guess i don't have a problem with the electricals, it's just resealing those things that gets me a bit antsy. i already get a fair amount of condensation in there that's left a white film acros the top. i wanna get em open to clean it out. it'd be nice to fit the dde's in there at the same time.
for those who already have em, do they fit well? they won't be coming loose or nothing if i hit a bump?

nope.
I'd like to remind y'all of these three pictures:
1) personal car - running Ground Control C/O Track Suspension with 350/450lb springs and 3" drop all around.
2) Rob's car - dedicated track ***** running Ground Control C/O 600/550lb f/r spring rates with 2.5" drop all around, also has Eibach sways that and poly bushings.
3) Dale's car - daily driver and track ***** running Ground Control C/O 650/600lb f/r spring rates + some other crazy GC suspension add ons.
No issues, nothing falls off, and these cars are STIFF. Think rail car stiff.

I found the toughest part getting the rings to set because I had to hold them for a while and I have very little patience.....lol
I painted, cleared, and installed the DDEs in my headlights and I found that the toughest part of the entire thing was getting the rings to set because I had to hold them for a while and I had very little patience at the time lol. Overall everything I did to my headlights I found to be MUCH easier than I thought it was going to be. Opening and resealing the headlights was very simple as was everything else pretty much. The first headlight went kinda slow cuz I was afraid to melt it so I kept having to put it back in the oven because I never let it get warm enough. The headlights aren't really that prone to melting I dont think. I did 15 minutes at 250 and they came apart very easily with no melting of anything. Resealing you just need to be sure there arent any fingerprints and stuff inside the headlight so just clean everything real good.

cool. i get more and more tempted everytime i see those pics. the bimmers' halos look a bit to blue for me. but the maximas look about right (don't know if there's any difference)
i'm really close to pulling the trigger on this one. gotta ask my fiance if i can pull 2 bills from the wedding budget

[QUOTE=Ryals]Yo my DDE's came in today, I like how the instructions are on cd-rom, SO how do I get them to stick? 90 sec epoxy on the lil plastic ends? Should those be to the top of the housing?[/QUOTE
you got a cd-rom with your DDE's? I did not get a cd-rom, WTF!

cd-rom
Yeap, I got a cd-rom with all the instrustion on it, the pics aren't that great ( a bit grainy) but it explain's things real nice cause I'm doing my light Mods right next to my computer.
Umnitza, I don't have my car here yet, so I tried step 4.0 on my 1990 Blazer and they didn't light up. Is it just the vehicle or could it be a defect? I'll try it on my car when it gets here.

You resolved this I hope
Guys, one of the things we've personally discovered is this:
DO NOT TOUCH THE RED AND BROWN WIRES FROM THE BALLASTS TO EACH OTHER UNDER LOAD.
You'll not see or hear anything but your ballasts will be blown if you do this.
make sure to insulate insulate insulate.
This has been determined to be the #1 cause of ballast failure. There is no failover!!!
And I just like showing off my car

That's it, yes. The old video showed you how to take the headlights apart, so it's still relevant.
The new install instructions are linked, but some people have dial ups, so prefer to print from a file.

so you are saying if I already installed the DDe's then I can get a cd rom? why would I need it then? the whole idea was to get the instruction so I can install it, if I already installed them why would I need it?

I have to install them before I can get a cdrom? yes or no..
If some people where left out on the cd rom you should have sent them a copy. Most people are dial up and downloading is not an option.
It is just like when you stated in the beginning that we would all get dimmers with our package, that did not happen and when people confronted you, your response was "you don't really need them, but if you want them you can have one for X amount of $$$".
You've been pretty shady and that is unfortunate for a few of us.
The product is great but I am not totally satisfied with customer service.
FYI - It should be common practice to send instructions with your products, to ALL of your customers, even if it is just written in plain text.
Helpful hints would be a nice touch as well. Where is the best place to mount etc. Remember you are suppose to be the professional here, you should share that in paper form with each package.
Shady?!?!?!?
Your original post wasn't clear if you had or did not install them already.
My response was unclear because it only answered 1 question - would you need the CD if you had already installed them - the answer was you wouldn't.
The dimmer switch, when included with the original packages we sent out, was totally useless. No one wanted to hassle installing them, no one wanted to deal with it, etc.
How is it shady to just make it easier for customers to not deal with parts they don't want to deal with?!
We send instructions with each set we send. If you didn't receive it, then we can send it to you.
It's usually assumed that if you can load a www.maxima.org on your PC, you can load these instructions in the same amount of time as the total size of the download is roughly 2MB or 3MB.
Come on...let's be a little more reasonable.

Additionally, we provide COLOR photos. Our printers do not work with COLOR very well, so instead of making you squint and try to figure out why it looks a certain way, we let you decide.
We can include color photos in the packages, but then we'll just go ahead and raise the cost of the product to overcome this.

hey bud, did you ever do you lights? Did you find the person in Philly who can do them?
