Without the NAV, the interior will look even cheaper than it actually is. A friend of mine has the 04 Murano with the orange (non-nav) screen. It looks like an old 1987 computer screen.
I'm not impressed with the 2004 + Nissans....they've really started to take a wrong turn when it comes to quality materials. If it wasn't for the interior of the new Max, I would be driving one right now. Instead, I'll stick with my 2001 AE.....I love my car!

Everybody needs to stop being defensive and give credit where it's due. I hate doing it, but I have to admit that interior looks better than the 5th gen...
My guess is quality of materials is similar, and I don't like the color of the gauge LEDs, but still...

I sat in it last night.
The material quality seems better and the layout is a definite improvement than the previous Altima, but the rest of the car still feels cheap.
The 5th gen layout works well, but it's getting dated.
