new intake.should i reset ecu after install?

i heard that reseting ecu after installing new intake helps prevent maf failure.is there any truth to this?

but it does allow your ecu to remap its ranges based on the amount of air being taken in.

You should reset it. Some people get an SES light when they don't reset it.

to recap: yes, reset...but not because of the MAF.

There is no real reason to reset it unless you just want to.

the car should learn the mods at any rate-just a bit slower-i think resetting the ecu recognizes mod quicker

to install the intake the first step on the instructions are probably to disconnect the battery. with should reset the ECU like my transsmision automatic

The reset procedure for the 2k2-2k3 is different than the 2k-2k1.

I just installed my intake (Injen) Saturday and I didn't reset the ECU and it seems to be running very smooth.
