Tein S KYB GR2 Install !!!???

After installing I am wondering if I should have cut the bump stops! Seems like they bottom out easy! Ride is rough I am not impressed at all! And I hear some kind of knocking in the front! Did I go wrong with the KYB's? Please help!!!
