Heat insulation for an intake

I just got an idea. Many intakes out there are made of aluminum or some other metal. Metal heats up under the hood and passes its heat to the air that passes through it. So, my idea is to wrap it in MylarŽ since its known for its heat reflective properties. It also has melting point of 255 degrees Celsius, so I think its gonna be enough for it to withstand engine heat.

header wrap will do, also. I've done that on my Injen's intake.
