I'll let the track decide. My butt dyno isn't calibrated but I feel like the power is there especially when the VI opens. I might try and head out to the track this Friday to get a few runs. I haven't been in a while. ECU is going out next week 240+whp is right around the corner.

Got a question. Why do you want to keep your stock muffler? Are you trying to keep it looking as stock as possible. Changing stock size piping I wonder if that would fool dealerships too.

The lined flex is to help eliminate the hiss common with Y-pipes. It's my understanding that the shorter flex sections obviously don't have as much flex in them due to their shorter length. A short flex section teamed with the violent torqueing of a heavy traversely-mounted V6 means a lot of stress is placed on the flex section edges. The longer flex sections are able to move more freely so less stress is placed on them. The stock flex section is ~8" long. Cattman's original Y-pipe flex sections were a mere 3.5". Not only was the flex compromised, more engine vibration would be felt thru the cabin.

Judging from the HS pics, the flex looks to be about 4 to 5". I'd definately watch it over time. The fix is pretty simple and if/when it blows then you can upgrade to the longer and higher quality flex for about $60.

I believe the actual lenght of the flex is 4" on the HS y pipe. I will keep and eye on it and replacing it will be an easy task.
