has anyone installed their aftermarket setup themselves or with some help? is this something the home mechanic can do? it seems pretty basic, so correct me if I am wrong here...

1. jack car up
2. remove wheel
3. remove strut/spring assembly

installation is the order in reverse of removal. obviously this is a real basic set of instructions, but is this a pita job to perform, or can someone do this with a good mechnical aptitude and the correct tools?

speaking of which, what special tools are needed(I figured a spring compressor is needed)?

I dont know why I didnt even think of this.. new question, are coilovers any different install wise than springs/struts?

I think the JIC is just a bolt on, but Tein looks like you have use the upper strut mount. ( I'am talking about coilovers)
