Seat Memory

Would it be a pain in the a$$ to add the seat memory function? If not how much would it cost? Everytime my fiance drives my car she moves the seat all over the place, it drives me nuts.

My car came with the seat memory and I still have no idea how to set it. I ve done everything that seems logical, except look in the manual, and still cant figure it out. Im the only one who drives my car, so its not a big deal, but Im begining to think it dosent work.

Anyway, good luck with whatever you do.

its very easy
1. set the button by the steering wheel on AUTO
2. set the hand brake
3. adjust the seat
4. press SET ,then one of the memory buttons till it lights up
5. enjoy the memory seat ( make sure the hand brake is on when you recall them)

yes, it's doable...i haven't had a chance, but i'm working on it. the only *hard* part is that we don't have our harness built in. luckily, it's 4 wires. the seat control units are universal for all cars, with and without memory seat. so if you go to the seat control unit (behind the glove) you should see an empty slot for the harness of the memory seat. that goes to the door, where the wires run to the memory switch. i have the memory switch (~$39 from daveb) but i do'nt have the harness. i'll prolly have to just use 4 wires and get wire taps that are small enough to plug into the back fo the memory switch and into the seat control unit.
that's pretty much the gist of it. good luck if you get to it before me.

Uhhh... I think we may have different seat memory deals. Mine has a "SET" Button and "1" and "2" buttons. Ive tried many different combinations off pressing and holding buttons with no results.

Looks like I need to just look in the damn manual

Guess what? During lunch I messed with the buttons for like 2sec and it works! I have no idea what I did differently, but whatever. Maybe it was the parking brake thing you were talking about.?

Thanks
