I have a 00' Max, and sometimes when I startup the car when its fairly cold it will idle real rough and sometimes even just stall out sitting there. You can hear the engine mounts constantly readjusting themselves. Once the car is warmed up everything is fine. Just had the ECU replaced/reprogrammed and there is no CE light on. Any ideas?

 

Yeah, I noticed mine does that at times, too. This is my first winter with my 2KSE, so with no CEL, I assuming this may be normal on 2K's. I never got around finding out what it could be....it's too cold out!

 

Can you hear the engine mounts adjusting and does it stall out?

 

No, I can't hear anything. I haven't heard anything unusual. I never had mine stall out, but at times it seems like it wants to cut off. I had it stall once when I just pulled off and drove when the outside temp was really cold. That's the only time.

 

what is "CE light" ? i have a 2001, and it used to stall when it is cold out, or ruff start... found a TSB on here and had it reprogrammed by the dealer, and it has been fine since then.

 

What TSB was it? I would like to know, so that I can take a trip to the dealer and let them know what's going on with my car and have them fix it (if it needs it). Thanx!
