I am going to put on my dash kit but I now 3M prep solution is good at getting all of that crud on your dash. Is it really necessary though considering my kit has 3M adhesion promotor? They say to use alcohol to clean the surface. Got any feedback?

 

i used 409 then the alcohol swabs that came with my dash kit. worked just fine.
the adhesion promotor isnt to clean. it is to make the adhesive less sticky while you get it in the right place.
just follow the instuctions
