That pocket is removable right? So that you have just 1 big double-din opening?

 

yeah the pocket is optional...it doesnt even come with the trim you have to pay extra for it

looks great. I just recently installed a new headunit in my car and got rid of the blose and also used the GXE kit, def well worth the money for a super clean look.

I paid around 100 bucks for the trim and pocket. I bought it from Jerry Rome Nissan who is a member on this forum and gives discounts to org members. I believe their org name is JRNissanParts. You could also go through DaveB who I dont have his number handy right now but he also gives discounts on OEM parts. You are gonna need part numbers 68750-3Y110(ventilator assembly) and 68475-35F00(pocket)

So anybody know how much the dash kit costs (NOT including pocket)?

 

Yeah, those aftermarket dash kits sux for us 5th gener's. I tried all kits, but nothing compares to the GXE kit. Luckily, I bought a GXE kit from a member here on the Org. The kit comes as one whole piece with the vents connected to the center piece where the radio goes. I'm still waiting to install mine, though, because now I need a part of my wood dash kit to cover the vents. Uggh!

 

Does the top vent portion of the GXE kit match the stock color of the SE vents?

 

The dash kit alone without the pocket will cost u around 90-95 bucks without a discount, I dont know exactly how much mine came to with the discount, i would say probably around 80-85. The color of the entire piece matches the entire interior's color scheme perfectly.
