Another new NA Maxima record. E.T. and trap speed

Tonight I went back to Rockigham and got in all of three runs. The first was on street tires and from memory (can't find that slip right now) I did

13.68 @ 105.xx with a 2.3xx 60'

and the 1/8 mile was below 9 seconds for the second time.

Right after that I put on the MT 22x8 slicks and launched at 4k RPM after warming the tires up.

10:58PM

R/T..... .481 (yes I red lighted for the first time in years)
60'..... 1.990
330'... 5.564
1/8.... 8.509
MPH... 83.41
1000'.. 11.059
1/4.... 13.198 ~~~~~>VIDEO of 13.1 pass
MPH... 107.33

Then on the third run the guy dropped the tree on us too quickly and my opponent and I didn't have time to get our launch RPM set. I think I dumped the clutch at over 5k and it was too much for these little slicks.

11:17PM
R/T..... .921
60'..... 2.078
330'... 5.691
1/8.... 8.658
MPH... 83.01
1000'.. 11.221
1/4.... 13.363 ~~~~~>VIDEO of 13.3 pass
MPH... 106.01

Now I almost think I can run a 12.99 NA in this car without getting the ECU or cams. It will all come down to getting the correct launch. I may have to use bigger slicks and get a tighter suspension.

Videos will be posted shortly.

Yeah Matt told me on the radio what I ran before I got my sheet. I made him repeat himself about 5 times because even I was shocked at that E.T. I did predict that I would run a better trap speed than I ran last Sunday. At least I did it once but now I doubt it will ever get any better without removing more weight.

Your times are freakin insane. I've got a question though, I know last time you said you took the seats out, all the trunk stuff, and the ac compressor. So what was different this time, besides slicks? Oh yeah, put the damn video up already.....lol.

How much wheel hop are you getting? Everytime I launch my car I have to let off b/c it sounds like my transmission is about to be torn loose.

Slicks = no wheel hop

Here is a link to the previous thread that has my complete mod list.
The only difference is this time I used the slicks, a lawn & garden battery which may have killed my alternator and I probably had a little over 3 gallons left in the tank. I really want to work for a 12.99 NA before I put the Nitrous back on which should make for some very interesting trap speeds.

You plan on using the 100shot? Low 12 or high 11s should be possible right? Damn that fast!

Thanks, dang, it seems hard to believe this is all you have:

My mod list as it stands

Stock ported airbox and resonator.
Stock catback exhaust.
Hollow OE cat.

Cattman 3.0 Headers

UR UDP

And other than the weight reduction and the 'messaged' manifold that is all I have.

And still get those great times but I believe you and I'm rooting for you to make them 12's.

Any word on those vids yet?

Get some stiffer springs/struts. I've had zero hop since the swap. And apparently, I'm a poet.

Oh, and AMAZING times! Now I demand a video!

Videos are being uploaded now. They suck b/c I was freezing cold and trying to zoom manually causing the camera to shake but ohh well. And I missed the clock on the 13.1@107 run but I said it out loud so hopefully that won't cause any conflict. If it does we will just have to go back and do it all over again

I will explain it to you like I explained it to those Honduh punks last night at the track. I have NEVER lied to anyone about whether or not I was using nitrous. I am not hiding anything other than the specifics of what I did to the intake manifold.
These kids last night were in disbelief of what I was doing so Matt and I angrily approached them on separate occasions and virtually made them come over and inspect my car. I showed them everything they were willing to look at and answered every question they asked.
It is not in my character to lie to people and I get severely p!$$ed off when people call me a liar directly or indirectly. I will be running these times and trap speeds all summer long and all of you are welcome to drive down here and see it for yourselves. I will even take my upper and lower IM off at the track for you to see there is nothing plumbed into it.

Just dont listen to the idiots who make stupid posts. I know its annoying when people doubt you. Plenty of guys (myself included) believe what you say...

Here are the videos. They're not very good and they don't really show much. Blu needs more practice with his camera

I know the guy in the Del Sol, he's not a tool like some of his buddies. His shift linkage is bent up and he made it worse on that run. But he may have been trying too hard on that run against me.

Someone needs to bring me another 6 speed so I can put another car into that catagory.

Actually, there may be hope for the MEVI.
