Short Shifter Install = Problems

My friend just had a B&M SS installed into his 2k Max, now he has air coming in from where his shifter is...the local shop that installed it said it is due to him having a ripped boot, which we think is jus BS...cuz no air was leakin in b4. Does anyone also have this problem or could i be a bad install (ie. missing part/loose screw)???

Thx
~Ron

That's weird. I installed my B&M short shifter myself and never had any problems with it. The local shop must of screwed something up.
