Factory paint the upper grill same color as the car, and then do your own custom mesh on the bottom opening (also paint that factory pearl color)....I think that would look SWEET!

stock, unless you go with a full body kit as well. just a grill looks ugly.. stands out too much, with nothing to back it up.

My opinion is incredibly biased because my SS grille just got delivered on Friday, but I think at least with a sterling mist or any lighter colored maxima it will look good even without the kit - right now my silver color with that giant black void in the middle to me, at least, looks kinda silly....though i dont like the look of the grille over the stock one, i think it needs to be cut out...

Really like the look of the factory painted picture. About how much would that cost?

Would I just take my car to a paint shop and have them do it? About how much would be a good price, I dont want to get jipped by somebody.

Also my grill has the chrome around the outside, would that have to be removed?

I have the Street Scene's lower valence, and decided not to get the matching upper grille because of a few reasons. The first was because I did not want to have to cut out my stock grille, and the second is I do not like the way the Street Scene's grille looks placed over the stock grille, like many people on the forum have done. I think it looks real cheap, and takes away from the mod.

Stick with your stock grille

IMO don't paint it car color, the 2000 has a different designed grille from the 2k2- 2k3, the 2000 grille looks funny painted to match that color car. Darker car are okay but not on a pearl color. Go wit the SS.

They are different but not by much, you have any pictures of a 2000 painted?

What is everyone elses opinion on this?? Would a 2000 look that much different than the one above??

Yeah I do see what you mean, but I think I still like it better than having to cut out old grill. And it should be a little cheaper too??

About how much would that cost??

You don't have to cut out your grille, there is a way to do it without the cutting, I think KPazzo has a how-to on his page, but if you like the white I'd suggest a pro paint job over a can of spray paint. Not sure what that would cost.
