$337.52 for keys!?!?!?!
My car only came with one key when I purchased it, but the dealer kept stringing me along saying that they'd contact the previous owner, etc. to get the others. I finally got tired of it and demanded new keys, which the dealer agreed to pay for (I got my car from a Honda dealership). Anyway, I get new keys +remote made at Nissan, who called Honda to verify billing and the sales manager *SHARTED* when he heard the price. He thought the combo would be around $75. Boy was he wrong! He had the tech itemize the bill like 5 times, but he had no choice but to authorize payment. Here's another funny part: I don't even need the stupid remote since I'm getting my Viper 791XV installed...tomorrow
. Ha ha!! Me:1 Dealership:0.
2 Nissan keys: $104
New Transmitter: $116
Programming labor: $117.52
The dry cleaning bill for Honda sales manager's pants---PRICELESS!

Dealers screwing each other... priceless.
Anyway, I have a 99.5 4th gen with 2 chip keys. I'd like a 3rd or 4 th set (for each family member). But I've heard that all the keys have to be reprogrammed at the same time and that only a dealer can do this? Is it really going to be 30-50 dollars for each chip key, and then 70 dollars programming? Anybody get their key programmed for less? Thanks alot.
