Could someone tell me what does this TSB fixes exactly. Or did anyone here used this TSB to get a fix? I do hear a ticking noise in my blower fan, so will they replace it under this TSB. Thanks:

I had mine done...

well, put it this way, the dealer thought something was *in* my fan making it tick, like a pine needle. it was clean, so they told me it was normal. So I gave them the TSB and got a new motor and I could talk over my blower at low speeds again.

What is TSB? Is your maxima noticably quicker and does it handle better with all your mods. Just wondering cause everything you have done i am thinking of doing.

2001 SE 5 Speed Sterling mist/ frost leather all options
Joshua tree kit on the way, AE shift ****, and door sills on the the way. Nice color trans choice :-)

My car does feel quicker and handles great around turns. I am satisfied with my mods so far and my next major mod would be to add the Quaife LSD as soon as Cattman releases them. On my 1993 SE, it has it as factory installed and it works great around turns and wet road.

As for the noise in the air conditioning, well I had it ever since I got the car. I never thought anything about it until I searched through TSB (Technical Service Bulletins) on www.http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/ to see if there are problems I could use the warantee to fix. So far I've use the TSB for rotor noise, and truck lip scratches.

This hasn't been addressed, BUT...does this TSB apply to people who have automatic climate control?? Thanks for any input.

TSB will apply to anyone who has that problem reguardless of automatic climate control. If your blower fan make the "ticking" noise, just bring in a copy of this TSB and be firm with your dealer's service manager. I plan to do this next week. Good luck.

My fan just started ticking today. It almost sounds like a pine needle or something small in there. Does anybody have a copy of this TSB?

or does it sound like

pieces of plastic being blown around. I have auto climate and running econ until about 2 weeks ago. The air clicks on and the noise starts. The fan runs the entire time, just when the airconditioning clicks on when the "noise" starts.
Is this what everyone is talking about?

Re: or does it sound like

Mine is different from that. It makes the ticking noise when I turn the fan on, whether it's AC or heat. It sounds just like a pine needle stuck in the fan. The tick noise frequency picks up as the speed increases.

Mingo that sounds like BS from the dealer. I would ouble check that. BTW- my fan stopped making the noise this morning. I guess it has a 24 hour virus.
