It sounds like you already bougt the car. Anyways, $22k seems a little high. I would have tried to buy it under $20

Agree... might be a tad high. My 2003 GLE w/spoiler, sunroof, mud guards & 8,400 miles was 23K in April 2003. Did you check Edmunds.com and kbb.com? I have found their values to be pretty close on my last few car purchases.

it just seems like the maxs in this area (NJ) are going a little high. the '03 Max that i test drove, just to get the feel of the car, was listed at $20K and was not a fully loaded SE, just leather. no Bose and no auto climate, with 20 and chane on the clock. i figured it should be under 20, along with the condition it was in. ive been thinkin about checking out cars in the PA/DE area, where prices might be cheaper.

it does seem a bit high to me i checked on line and it came out to be the same, 22k something, but i fell in love with the pearl white, plus it had heated seats and STEERING wheel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i live in north jersey so it gets pretty dran cold, it kept me from driving with my hands frozen, its get pretty hot!! plus it has this neat compass, 6 disc DC changer, auto climate, so i HAD to get it, who wouldnt? i didnt care for the price at the time, i bought it back in feb, now i think about it, i feel kind of ripped off.

i was gonna get the 2001, but i hate the head lights, i also fell in love with the 5.5G headlights, and that extra 30 horses makes a damn difference.

im with you on that chun, im searching for the exact car i want now, no settling or anything like that this time. i want to find every option except navi. nice find too. it seems tough to find black leather, the tan or light grey seems more common.

mine is the grey leather, its got the luxury of a GLE, but the sportiness of the SE, the ride on the SE is a bit firm, but just the way i like it. only way your gonna find black leather is to find a dark color car, more common on silver and black and maroon color maximas, but the black gets faded, ive seen the inside of a 2001, the cracks on the leather, and the faded carpet, black does look nice though, it would be nice if the grey leather was a bit darker, like charcol
