Battery

I need to get a new battery. Any recommendations on what kind and where to get. I'm thinking either Autozone Duralast or Sears Diehard.

can't go wrong with Die Hard....these have proven for decades to be the best, and Sears is soooooo good at standing behind their products in my experience.

I thought I read in another thread that the Optima battery doesn't fit right or it's hard to get the terminal on. Does anyone know?

That was one of my first considerations but price and practibility rule it out. I think it's a bit overkill for my applications.

Accoriding to Consumer reports testing the best battery is believe it or not Costco Brand. If you have one nearby, you can pick one up for $40 with 3year full replacement warranty and 5 year pro-rated.

I don't have my manual because it is in my car which is at the dealership. But I was just wondering if there is a certain cranking or cold-start amps that is required for our car. I'm going to be getting the battery soon if not tonight and I don't want to get one that doesn't work for my car.
