2 late. already melted. i put them in at 170 for 15 minutes and was not able to open them. increased it to 220 and went to change the oil. forgot about them. 10 minutes later:

oh well another 25 bucks down the drain..

I used dessicant packets then sealed them with aquarium sealant. It takes longer but at least they won't get melted.

This probably sounds stupid...

... but it worked!. I see that some chinese restaurants place rice grains into the Salt shakers to absorb moisture (I asked). So .. as silly as it sounds, i used a handful of rice stuffed into my rear corner and a hairdyer to drive out the moisture and it worked! Been over a year, no condensation since. (I didn't have any dessicant (sp?) around at the time either..)

i have not had them on for a few months. the pass rear got a lot of water in it and it froze. just drying the water will not solve the prob, cause it will happen again. the harness burnt out as well.

i mean to say...
couldn't you have just waited for it to dry out, then reseal it when it's dry, and then put it back on?...isntead of throwing it in the oven?

I think that I would have waited for the clear corners to dry out first and then go from there. I know that I had the same problem before.

.. waiting for it to dry out and then resealing it won't make it go away, it WILL condense when the weather changes.. you need something to absorb the water before sealing it again.
