Po160

since I can't search...I'll just ask.....can anyone help me out with a PO160. I know its a o2 sensor but I'm unclear about which one it is. Also if anyone has information on a cheap place to buy sensors online. Thanks. For information I have a 2000 se with a frankencar intake and y pipe (cali) any info would be appriciated. Also would a bad sensor cause really dramatic power reductions. It feels fine until 3500 then its like it hits a wall and has no power. This is even worse when wot.

go to this site look for the tsbs for the oxygen sensors. P0160 is Bank 2 rear for high voltage monitoring. i had P0140 and took it to nissan. under extended warranty, they replaced 2 o2 sensors and flashed the ecu, supposedly to keep it from frying another o2. if you have the extended warranty or are under 3yr/36k then go to nissan. if not you have may still want to have them flash the ecu but you can replace the sensor(s) by yourself. check oxygensensors.com for a good price and free shipping. edit- i just realized you have an 00 so the 3yr is out the window but also if it is an upstream sensor, it can cause a dramatic power lose but at wot, the ecu only reads from the maf, not the o2s.

if it were a bad maf don't you think it would have thrown that code as well ps also i kinda lied I've had this problem for a while and I have my own odb reader so I've been constantly reflashing...and this is the funny thing. I live in NJ but go to school in VA(high elevation) here the code isn't thrown but the instant i start my car up in nj after sitting overnight after about halfwarm the code is thrown...but never thrown here. the only thing diffrent is the elevation which i gues causes a diffrence. When down her in va it runs a little better but still feels crappy at wot.
