New O2 sensor in....now what?
New O2 sensor in....now what?
I have a 2001 AE that needed a driver side downstream O2 replaced (red wire). I got the part, and put it in. I realized and confirmed that the SES light might not go off right away, but wondered how long it might take. Do I need to do something specific to get it to reset (like having the code pulled again)? This is all assuming that swapping in a new sensor will correct the problem that caused the SES light to come on in the first place. Any advice?
Oh, and I pulled codes:
P0138 =O2 Circuit High Voltage (Bank 1, Sensor 2),
P0139=O2 Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1, Sensor 2
P0140 = O2 Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 1, Sensor 2)
I was led to believe that I needed the "red wire" O2 sensor, by a local dealer.
Thanks.
