53-4 against...it's pretty clear what people think of these lights...

 

Hey Soonerfan & irish44j, Its Mr. Rice! I had to vote yes because i had these and swaped with my brother and took the black trim with the clear center. I think the black clearout would have been a much better choice. Just my $0.02

 

PS: Yet to be pulled over and have had clearouts for over 3 months! Actually got pulled over once by a cop who told me my car looked nice but thats bout the only pullover close to regaurding them.

 

First clears are meant to be on light coloured cars (looks awful on darker cars).

Second, even with HYPER RED TAILlight bulbs, in daytime you can't see, therefore illegal,

Third, the clear taillight scene DIED several years ago.

Fourth, There have been court cases where a guy with clear tailights got rear ended, and was charged. The person behind was NOT at fault and clalimed they could not see the tailights.

Fifth, best looking tailights are 2k2/2k3 with the orange reflector painted red.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. I know people can do whatever they like to their cars and I guess that's cool, but I don't want to be associated with having a rice-mobile. It's kinda like being neighbors with the guy who doesn't cut his grass, leaves his Christmas lights up year-around, and puts a bunch of tacky lawn ornaments in his yard...it brings your property value down. Ya know what I mean?

It may be that out there, people are are being nice and really might not like it. Maxima.org members like to be straight up. There are some really good people here. Theyve seen a whole bunch of mods in different combos and I really would trust what they say. You just have to realize that it all comes down to if YOU like it or not, because after that, it shouldnt matter what other people want, but what you want to do with you car.

 

man... talk about setting yourself up for some serious negative feedback. I guess if you take a chance and hang it out there, someone is going to take a swing at it... OUCH!! I think they look ok but you should clear out the LED in the spoiler also if your going to keep them that way. My .02

 

sorry bro, not feelin those tails. dont mind the clear ones with black on ebay, but thats too much clear.

 

get rid of those my friend...not classy. I have the same color max and the 00 SE tails own...good luck

 

I will probably role with it for a week or two or until I get pulled over then swap them out...
