Sup all,
I 'll be getting my new ignition coils soon and I was going to try installing them myself. Just wondering if there was a how to on installing them..and for the people that installed them themselves, how hard was it and how long did it take?? and what tools would i need???

Check out THIS URL. While the instructions are for removing the spark plugs, you obviously have to remove the coils to get to them. BTW, at least checking the spark plugs while you're at it isn't a bad idea. Total time to replace all six coils should be less than an hour. All are pretty easy -- #5 is the only one that is a little difficult to get to.

The link above explains it, but if you're just doing coils a 6" extension bar is adequate - or even a 3" with a deep socket. Also, try to remove and install the bolts and the coils together for the back row - if a bolt falls out it can be tough to retrieve. And avoid my mistake - be sure to use a metric (4 mm) allen wrench. I used the closest standard size and stripped on eof the screws securing the cover - the metal is very soft.
