I have both FSTB and RSB and they make so much difference when going around corners or even U-turns. These are simple metal pieces and if attaching couple of metal pieces can make a noticable difference, why doesn't Maxima came with these pre-installed by the factory? As far as cost goes, Nissan can mass produce them for $5-$10 each! So its really not the price... so I just wonder why cars don't come with these as standard?

Also, when a company is trying to cut costs, even a $10 item is game on the chopping block.
Peace.

Maximas don't get a stock FSTB, however. Only the Sentra SE-R and the 350Z get that from the factory.
Peace.

Yeah, exactly what 01SE02SER said (I'm not sure about the average driver being 55 years old, that's up there) but none-the-less. The Maxima is NOT a sports car. I think some people on here tend to forget that. And I can see why, especially when the Nissan advertisements focus mainly on its HP. I would venture to say that Maxima.org members equal less than 5% of total Maxima owners. If I were in charge of production of the Maxima, even I wouldn't spend more money for 5% of the buyers.

I do see what you guys are saying but my argument is, they should have atleast equipped the SE model with a RSB. I would have gladly paid $50 extra if it was included in the invoice price. They gave us HID's and 'sports suspension', why not RSB!
After I installed my RSB, it made turning so much easier. I almost felt it was a necessity to have an RSB on a big car like our Max... Before, it was bit of a pain to make turns. It added comfort and control (on top of other advantages)...
