Can Anyone Tell Me If 92 Octane Is Required In My 2k Maxima? And What Would Happen If I Were To Use 87 Octane? With Gas Prices These Days I Hope I Made The Right Desision Buying This Car,hands Down It Is Thee Best I Have Ever Owned.

If It's The Best Car You've Ever Owned Yet You Hope You Made The Right Decicsion In Buying It, You Need Serious Help.

Whats with capitalizing all your words dude?
Anyways, I think it recommends 91 octane. Where I am, it is pretty tough to get 91, so I get 93. If I'm strapped, I'll get half 93 and half 89. I never get 87. And 92 octane, I've never heard of that.

There is a lot of argument on this subject and I don't know the optimum answer. I use 87 octane almost always and have no known problems. This probably causes less than maximum performance, but has never caused knock. My mileage probably suffers a little as the timing is likely somewhat retarded by the engine control module.
