Bulbs for reverse lights like Y2Kev's

I know he has the Gigalux BW701's, but I cannot find ANYPLACE that sells them (and I have no connections in Japan)...

Anyone know of any other replacement reverse light bulbs that will look white at night but have that nice blue reflection in the day? I think the stock bulbsare 13W and the gigalux's are 18W.....Does PIAA or anyone else make a bulb that is similar?

Ya that looks cool. I'm having major issues finding blue tinted bulbs to go in the map lights... they make them only as stock replacements of green ??? cannot for the life of my find blueish ones.

get polargs, for mostly white with the blueish tint, or do what a lot of people have done, take out the stock bulb, or get a white one from pep boys or something, and color it with a blue marker (few coats)

Already tried the blue marker thing, it burned the marker and turned green.... bad bad bad. Ha but maybe if I try a different kind of marker it would work out better

Hey, what's the bulb serial # on that? I don't feel like pulling the bulbs out to check and I'd like to order a pair myself...(another brand)

The stock bulbs are either 912 or 921 (13W) - 912 and 921 are interchangeable. I don't know if those codes are the same for the other aftermarket bulbs.

btw, DrVolkl, it appears your cardomain site is not working (or at least the link here to it...)

The size for reverse signal in our tail light is W2 as Dave has said and PIAA seems to be the best choice. I don't have others but I have the PIAA and I can vouch it looks good, just like irish wanted. Very white light output at night, slight hint of blue in the day.

these guys have the same bulbs for $9.95 for a pair
TTStuff is the cheaper choice. Shipping at optauto is like $10 for 2 bulbs. TTstuff shipping is $4.80. Some of these places really p*** me off with their outrageous shipping costs.

PIAAs are the way to go..whitest and brightest..i have a PIAA dome light and PIAA LED trunk light

Dome Light = T-6D-XTRW-T
Inside Door Light = 168-XW-T (should be..not sure tho)
Map Light = should also be the same as inside door light if not then the same as the dome light...hope it helps.

Inside door light you can use either 168 or 194. However, the map light is a different bulb than both the dome light and courtesy light.

I've got PIAA Xtreme whites in most of my interior lights, after seeing this:
http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...224200&page=13
I'll put Polarg M6s in the reverse lights as they appear to be brighter.
I've got some pictures on my page too.
