LED lights in the window and lock switches
How Do I go about changing my LED lights in my switches, I have already done the drivers side switches and I am now having trouble with the passenger and rear switches.I am simply changing the color. Does anyone have instructions? Any help would be great!
Thanks

I did my rears very similar to thomasd except I used the rubber mount for the LED and turned it upside down and attached the LED and resistor to it. I used 300mcd for these. They are Plenty bright!
The fronts on the 02+ are SMT LED's soldered to the circuit boards as seen on his page. You can find these LED's here
For 20 bucks you get 15, enough to do 2 cars with 1 spare.
You'll need 2 low watt soldering irons (not guns) and a helper to get the old ones off. Have the helper hold the SMT with a needle nose and lightly pull while you heat up both sides. Then carefully solder the new ones down, there is usually still enough solder on the board that you won't need to add any. I couldn't find any polarity info on these so using some wire, a resistor and a 9V battery... When you look at the lens of the SMT you'll see the internal contacts almost make an arrow. The way the arrow points is +Positive and all of them point one way on the board, towards the front of the car the way they sit in the door.
I had the front done in a 1/2hr. The rears actually took a little longer.
I did the Auto temp control yesterday with 6000mcd, and I'm waiting on a cluster bezel before I do the rest of the dash. I also have 3mm & 10mm 6000mcd on the way. All LED's I used were blue. I plan on doing the radio, clock and Auto Temp read out with blue film like irish44j. I'm going to see how clear report covers that are blue tinted work.
****Disclaimer****
If you've never soldered before this may not be for you. Fine soldering is an art, not hard to learn but practice is needed.
You can get every thing you need at Radio Shack to do this. Also, Remember soldering guns are for soldering wire and crap like that, they carry a charge that can fry static sensitive stuff. Low watt irons are for LEDs, circuit boards and so on.
