tail light trouble
yesterday i was going to paint my tail lights so i started to take them out. i was following a write up that someone made and i wasn't having any trouble. but in the middle of taking them out i had to go pick up one of my friends. so i started to put the bulbs back in the tail light, and connect the wires back together. when i put everything back how i found it, i decided to test them and make sure they were running. the reverse lights, brake lights, and blinkers worked fine. but when i turned on my headlights, the headlights worked, and so did the right side markers and the right taillight, but the left tail light (if you are looking from the back of the car) and left side markers didn't work. the part of the tail light that lights up when the headlights are on doesn't light up unless the brakes are pressed. and the left side markers don't work at all. i was wondering if anyone has had this problem and maybe had some advice to give me. thanks alot

I've never done anything like that and have never had that sort of problem but I can suggest the usual things like check all your connections and fuses to see if that fixes it. If not, you may have coincidentally blown all those bulbs. ??

Youre talking about your 7443. It has 2 filaments in it. One for when the headlights are on and the other when the brakes are pushed. You probably blew the 1 filament but not the other which would cause the exact problem you are having.
Solution = replace the 7443 bulb
