fyi for 2k owners
fyi for 2k owners
hey guys, so i was taking some pieces from a wrecked 2k3 today...this is what i got...
bronze door handles, new clock, bose grill, hid kit, cup holder, trunk matt, spare tire, 17" GLE rims, armrest and etc...
here is what i wanted to let u guys know, if u didn't already....i was gonna take the woodgrain trim on the doors....took it off and tried to fit them in my door..fits no prob...now...tried to put in the switches....and a no go....the front driver won't fit at all....passagner and rears fit but are loose.....so i scrapped that idea... and put my old ones back on....btw, the modules for the switches on all 4 doors will not work w/ the 2k....
as far as salvaging the hid headlamps, there was a problem....i was taking it apart and there is a component that is inside the headlamp and looks like u have to crack the lamp open to get it...i didn't have the time so i cut the wires...
the door handles were very easy....take the door panel off, take the little scoop off and there's one screw that holds it in...push back and it pops out....now there are 2 lines that run to it...lock/handle...just turn the handle 90 degrees and pull the lines straight up off it....very simple and looks real good in my car...i'll take pics tomorrow....
thats all i can remember for now.....
