Nose mask

They are around $100 buck from the dealer. I have one that I put on my car for a day and then didn't like so I took it right back of again. I will sell you for $60. Email me if you are interested.

Nose mask

Try www.saddleman.com. That's where I got my hood cover. There is no full mask to fit the AE; believe me if there was, I'd have it. My front end is getting beat up (another issue).

I first bought the full mask from Nissan because I didn't know about aftermarket covers and they wouldn't split the kit and give me only the cover. I couldn't get it to fit for anything although they said it was for Maxima, it looked more like an Altima cover. Anyway, they took it back and I discovered the LeBra version. It looks way better than the Nissan, and the installation is easier and more secure.

Good luck.

Interesting. The service manager says they have a full frontal bra for the AE. I have been considering buying it. I think I'll have a look first.
He also told me that the 2001 AE editions can now have color coded splash guards now as well. I don't know if I'll get those. I like the clean look without them.

bra for AE

If there is one, they just came out with it. I went through this late January/early February. At the time, Nissan acknowledged it wouldn't fit the bumper, and saddleman said one was not in production, that they'd have to have enough requests before they'd consider it. Sooo, if you want the full mask, let saddleman know. Maybe they'll build one.

And, if you determine that the Nissan bra has been modified to fit the AE, I want to know about it, as well.

My suggestion would be to try the fit before you leave the dealership. The part numbers for the hood cover matched, but there was no way the one that was in my box was going to fit. The straps didn't even line up with the holes in the hood. It was ridiculous.

Like I said, I'm much happier with the LeBra version anyway. Having seen both, the LeBra looks much better than the Nissan version.

Be careful with your nose masks

You guys better be real careful with your nose masks. Any dirt that gets under the masks will surely scratch your paint and any water or moisture that collects under your masks can stain your paint if it is left there long enough.

You might want to also look into the clear nose mask. It's a plastic made by 3m which is adhered to the car. I've seen pics and you can't tell that it's on there. Some people who make it are clearbra.net and stongard.com. It's worth checking out.

no mask/bra for AE

confirmed with the parts guy that there is NOT a bra/mask for the AE.
He will call me if he finds such a beast.

He did tell me they now make color coded splash guards for the AE.

...that's what I thought. See, we know more about these cars than they guys selling them. By the way, I ordered my splash guards back in December when I bought the car and installed them. Kind of hard to see in my signature pic, but they are there. As far as I know, they've always been available. They're pricey, though. $100 for the set; somebody's making some money.

Stock bra sucks

I've always had bras for my previous cars (RX-7, 3000GT, 240SX), but the bra for the 2K Max is a pain in the ***!

I wrestled with it for 45 minutes, then put it back in the box, and shipped it back to South Point Nissan.

The benefit of having it on was outweighed by the hassle of trying to PUT IT ON.

If I can find a dealr close enough, I might go with the ClaerBra... I checked out the site, and it looks like a great product (clearbra.net).

I hear you; I did the same with the Nissan mask I got, and all I wanted to use (able to use) was the hood cover. It was NOT going on the car (oh, they tried to tell me that it needed to be warmer to stretch, yadda, yadda, yadda). Buddy, the thing was not going to fit, no way no how.

If you want a bra, check out the www.saddleman.com link. You can see from the picks my hoodcover fits snugly, was a snap to install, and has never flapped in the wind (unlike the Nissan mask i have on my 93 SE).

I don't know about the rest of the kit, because the lower bumper part won't fit an AE Maxima.

Good luck. I hear the clear masks are nice in that you can't notice them, but they are just simply not within my budget presently.
