No more Max! Had to move on....

I have officially been without the Maxima for two weeks. Traded it in for a 2004 Silverstone 350z. Wanna thank all you guys for the great advice and tips. I definately learned alot from this forum. Also want to recommend test driving the Z if you get the chance. For all you guys who don't need any room, you MUST drive one. I am paying less than forty dollars a month more than I was paying on the Maxima. And that is INCLUDING the bump up in insurance.

Thanks again for all the info! I will jump on and see whats crackin from time to time...Good luck fellas!

Good luck with the Z brother. I'm sure it won't disappoint you!

Thanks Manny.... so you decided to take the plunge on the Z? And yeah no ricey mods. Not really my style. The damn things looks so good already, I probably won't touch the exterior with the exception of a possible wheel upgrade later on down the road. Gotta replace the stereo though. Its KRAP. Most of the time I just put the windows down, turn off the stereo and listen to the exhaust!

I don't have the Bose. Its the Enthusiast model. Nissan headunit. The Bose I had in my GLE with the polk3500 tweeter upgrade KILLED the stereo in the Z. Its gotta go.

I will try to post some pics. If I can figure it out.

I test drove the 350Z today and it rocked.

I test drove the new Maxima today and it sucked!

I test drove the 2005 Altima 3.5SE and it was pretty cool. I don't like the back of it, though.

Congrats, dude. Z = Godly cars.

Dude, I loved my Maxima. But I while I was gettin a couple TSBs taken care of at the dealership, one of the salesmen let me take a Z out for a spin while I was waiting. Bro, that was all it took. After that, I had to have it!

BTW, how in the HELL do you get pics up????? I click on insert image and it just says [IMG]. Whats up?

Oh yeah. I am tryin to talk my sis out of gettin a gen 6 Max. They just disgraced the gen 5 with that catastrophe of machine they have the nerve to call a MAXIMA.

This is kinda weird....but the Max felt just about as fast. It got your attention a little more when you stomped it from a dead stop because it was much more squirelley. In the Z you have to keep your eyes on the speedo more because the power is so well controlled. Its deceptive how smooth the power delivery is handled. If it feels like youre doing 45mph you're probably on the low side of 60mph. In the Max, the front wheels let you know through the steering that they are working hard so you always know how fast youre going. In the Z, I have to pay alot more attention; especially in the curvy stuff. This thing is KILLER on the twisties.
