Strut and/or Sway Bars?

Do our maximas come with a front strut bar stock? Also what is the difference between a strut bar and a sway bar. I want to get a rear sway bar as well, but do they make a strut bar for the rear? Also what about the front. Sorrry I am new. Thanks

There is no front strut bar on a stock max's. Strut bar connects 2 front wheels sway bar to back wheels. There are strut/sway bar made for our maxima. Strut bar does not do much ( steering response a little bit better but overall not a a big deal). The sway bar on the other hand is the best mod for our cars.

Get a sway bar and you will be very happy.

FSTB is mostly for looks. People can't tell the difference after installing it. People can tell the difference w/ RSB though.

FSTB is mainly for higher speed cornering. You will not notice much at less than freeway speeds. The RSB actually ties the left and right side of the frame together, helping to eliminate the twisting. It will give you the most noticeable difference in handling at all speeds. It will also allow your suspension to do more of the work when taking corners.

Get a RSB first. It is the single best handling mod you can do to the maxima, no doubt. FSTB give minor improvement in front body stiffness. RSTB does even less than the fstb.

There are two major types of RSB's:

Stillen (which I have and love) and a Stillen knock-off on ebay.
and
Progress/Cattman/Addco - which are all basically the same design as each other and cost a little bit less. Alot of people on the org have these bc they are cheaper than Stillen.

all of them have the same effect.

These cars should come from the factory with a RSB.
They make the car ride so much better.

I couldn't find any sway bars on ebay. Where is a good place to get one cheap. And does it matter what company makes the strut bar? I found this one on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33591 Should I get this one or get something else. If so where? Thanks!

A lot of people say there is no difference in handling between different brand sway bars. But I have yet to hear anybody who has tried more than one. I would be interested to know if there is a bar diameter difference or a bar stiffness difference between the brands. This would definitely affect how well the RSB works.

Stillen makes an excellent Rear Sway Bar. It is disigned so much better
then the ones that attach with U bolts. The Stillen bolts directly
on to the Maxima. What a difference it makes! Now the wife takes
the corners so much faster..
