Impressions on Injen cai...

First of all I want to say thanks to imxelite for the great deal on this system. The kit in my opinon is very well designed and works well. The install was straight forward & easy for the most part. The only problem I had was getting the maf sensor and adapter to line up properly. To me it seemed just a hair off of being perfectly aligned and would cause any one of the 4 bolts to cross thread. I was able to get it to thread on all for corners after a few tries. I was doing this on my lunch break near the end of a 16 hour shift so I was pretty much wiped out. The install took me about an hour from start to finish. I need to make some minor adjustments when I have some extra time.

Right off the bat I noticed the sweet sucking sound when I goosed the fbw throttle. I noticed the throttle seems to be a little more responsive at low speeds and noticed a loss in some torque in the 3-4k rpm range. My car seems to really come alive at 4,500 rpms and above. The growl at the top of each gear is awesome! Especially 2nd gear just before the 2-3 shift. I noticed my car feels a tad slower from 40-60mph but above feels stronger. I am impressed so far. I pulled off the side of the road to set up my g-tech when I realized I had stopped about 150 feet behind a cop running radar DOH! I just signaled and took off with out getting pulled over. I guess I could've gotten a ticket for preparing to speed

I dunno about your "hair" but mine fit perfectly.....you must be putting on the things wrong

Careful with the MAF....the intakes are a killer on 2k2 MAF sensors.

If you want your intake to impress you redline it quickly (smash the throttle) and listen to it at 6500-6600 RPM
