Rear Sunshade

Well, I couldn't stand it anymore. My commute home down the highway is at the correct angle to have the sun shining through my rear window. That and I was tired of covering my rear seats headrest up with a towel while at work (to avoid cracking the leather).

So, I ordered this and received it today:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...670982094&rd=1

Its not automatic, but it does the job and looks stock. Two clips screw into the rear of the headliner and two screws hold the sunshade down to the rear shelf. The sunshade does not come out far, so I mounted mine directly behind the subwoofer. Can't wait til 5 o'clock comes.

Why not just tint the rear window to 20% and condition your leather time to time?

Ive never had a problem with my cars with leather cracking in the rear seats. I got 5 cars with leather, 1 being over 14yrs old no cracking. I condition the leather year after year and no problems.

I do condition the leather once a month. Tinting the windows was a thought, but it's just not my style.

I have one of those I've had the same one on my previous 3 cars. They are great. ON a 2002 maxima, though, it is a pain to install, as you have to drill holes between the glass and the sub (really small space). But it looks nice, even combined with Tint.

Yeah I like mine a lot. It's very high quality, the install was somewhat of a pain though.

5 o'clock commute is quite nice now.
