Ok, here's what I've garnered, mostly from reading about the experiences of the guys on www.my350z.com
The Nismo and JWT cams provide similiar power gains. They both show a small power loss at lower rpms and gains higher up in the rpm range. The JWT cams losses and gains are slightly more pronounced.
I've also read about guys that have installed the Tomei 268 cams (Tomei cams are available in 3 grinds, the 268 cams are the most radical) These cams required different lifters but provided the greatest power gain (all in the higher rpm range). Not sure about the losses in the low end.
The major obstacle with these cams is that in addition the the high cost of purchase, they are also very expensive to install. (over $1000) Also to really take advantage of the cams you should have a free flowing exhaust, modified intake, and the ablility to modify the ECU.
